The GUT-EYE AXIS™
Food as Medicine, 10-Day Educational Workshop
Understanding the connection between your gut, nutrition, microbiome and eye health
Are you experiencing persistent eye discomfort, redness or rosacea? Or perhaps you are dealing with digestive symptoms and wondering whether your gut health could be connected to what you are experiencing elsewhere in your body.
GUT-EYE AXIS is an educational programme designed to help you understand the emerging science connecting the gut microbiome, nutrition, inflammation, metabolic health and the eyes.
Rather than looking at eye health in isolation, this 10-day workshop explores the body as an interconnected system and gives you practical, evidence-informed strategies that you can incorporate into everyday life.
Why Does the Gut-Eye Axis Matter?
The gut does far more than digest food.
Our intestinal environment and microbiome interact with nutrient absorption, immune function, metabolism and inflammatory signalling throughout the body. Emerging research is also investigating how these systemic pathways may influence ocular health and disease.
During GUT-EYE AXIS, we translate this developing science into practical education you can understand and use.
What You Will Learn
During this 10-day educational programme, you will learn about:
The Gut-Eye Axis
Understand the emerging science behind communication between the gastrointestinal system, microbiome, immune system and eyes.
Nutrition & Eye Health
Discover nutrients and dietary patterns associated with supporting normal eye function and long-term health.
The Microbiome
Learn what influences microbial diversity and how everyday dietary choices can support a healthy intestinal ecosystem.
Inflammation
Understand the relationship between diet, metabolic health, the immune system and inflammatory processes.
Food Synergy
Learn why nutrients do not work in isolation and how combining different plant foods can help create a more nutritionally diverse diet.
Metabolic Health
Explore the relationship between blood-glucose regulation, metabolic health, inflammation and ocular health.
Lifestyle & the Gut-Eye Connection
Discover how sleep, movement, stress, circadian rhythms and everyday habits interact with nutrition and health.
Healthy Ageing & Longevity
Explore how nutrition, microbiome health and lifestyle may contribute to maintaining health and function as we age.
Your 10-Day Learning Experience
The purpose of GUT-EYE AXIS is not to promise a quick fix or treatment for a medical condition.
Instead, the workshop gives you 10 structured days of education and practical implementation so you can begin understanding your own habits and make informed, sustainable changes.
You will learn how to build more nutrient-dense meals, increase dietary diversity, incorporate gut-supportive foods and develop everyday practices that support long-term health.

Why I Created GUT-EYE AXIS
As a medical doctor and ophthalmologist with a particular interest in nutrition and lifestyle medicine, I became increasingly interested in a question that conventional eye care does not always explore:
What is happening beyond the eye?
The eye is not an isolated organ.
Nutrition, metabolic health, inflammatory pathways, vascular health, the immune system and potentially the gut microbiome are all part of a much larger biological picture.
That is why I created GUT-EYE AXIS — to provide education that brings these areas together and helps people understand the emerging science connecting the gut, nutrition and eye health.
Education That Helps You See the Bigger Picture
GUT-EYE AXIS is about knowledge rather than perfection.
It is an opportunity to understand your body differently, examine the choices you make every day and learn practical strategies that may support your long-term health.
Because when we think about the health of our eyes, sometimes we need to look beyond the eyes.
GUT-EYE AXIS is an educational programme and does not replace individual medical diagnosis or treatment. If you have persistent or worsening eye, gastrointestinal or other medical symptoms, please seek advice from an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.
